Inclusive Tourism

Workshop focuses on “inclusive” tourism

Local business people involved in tourism are being urged to attend a workshop focused on creating and enhancing “inclusive” tourism experiences in the region.

Being “Inclusive” means that being older does not matter, having a disability does not matter or having children in prams does not matter. It allows all people to have access to what you are offering regardless of ability.

And with an estimated 4 million people living in Australia with a form of disability, and 3.5 million aged over 65 years that means a lot of potential customers, without even looking at international markets.

The other consideration is that these customers rarely travel alone bringing with them family and friends. It’s not all to benefit the customer though, it also creates confidence in your employees in welcoming a wide range of people, fostering customer service excellence and getting more people through your doors.

Regional Development Australia Adelaide Hills Fleurieu & KI working with Push Adventures would like to invite you to a 3 hour workshop on Inclusive Tourism.

This workshop will provide you with skills and techniques to welcome people with a wide range of physical abilities that will develop into a loyal customer base.
