Coast Lines

Coast Lines is a free monthly community magazine with almost 5000 copies distributed across the Fleurieu Peninsula and Kangaroo Island. It focuses on people, places and events – not politics or controversies; just positive stories that we hope inspire, entertain and inform.

We aim to present professional journalism, and try to reach our readers through genuine coverage to make everyone feel great about living on the Fleurieu. We add an in-depth review on the latest movies, offer a few recipe ideas, and share a laugh through our jokes page, despite some being unashamedly lame.

Since its launch in September, 2011 we like to believe Coast Lines has become a “must have” publication because it is about quality; it reflects the people of the Fleurieu and Kangaroo Island, and we deliver it with passion and pride. We are now inviting you to be part of our journey by advertising in Coast Lines. Please compare our keenly competitive rates in our ‘Advertise with us’ section.

We produce a truly-local publication… we live in Victor Harbor, and Coast Lines is printed by SA Design & Print in Port Elliot. Coast Lines is published by Oscar Publications – Ashley & Jenny Porter, of Victor Harbor. Ashley has 45 years experience in newspapers and magazines – he has been a leading writer for The News, Herald-Sun, The Advertiser, The Australian, and The Age.

Fleurieu App

The Fleurieu App allows you to discover the secrets, services and must-sees of the Fleurieu Peninsula at your fingertips.

It’s a free app for locals and visitors to the Fleurieu Peninsula and Kangaroo Island, now available for download via Google Play or the Apple App Store.

Whether it’s breaking news or sport, weather information, things to do, events, business listings, local attractions, jobs, council updates, visitor centres or the nearest restaurants, cafes, cellar doors, breweries and bars to you – Fleurieu App has it all.

The app covers McLaren Vale, Willunga, Sellicks Beach, Aldinga, Myponga, Yankalilla, Normanville, Cape Jervis, Victor Harbor, Encounter Bay, Port Elliot, Middleton, Strathalbyn, Goolwa, Currency Creek, Milang, Ashbourne, Mount Compass, Langhorne Creek and all locations in between.

Launched in August 2019, the app is the baby of Silver Sands resident Susie Williams.

Susie returned to the Fleurieu Peninsula with her husband and their three daughters in early 2019, after a stint living in New Zealand. There, Susie was part of the team that created and ran the highly-successful Marlborough App, which links local people and visitors to the myriad of experiences and businesses available in the area.

Upon returning to the Fleurieu, Susie could see massive potential and says she, “couldn’t wait to build an app for this fabulous region”.

Originally from Buckleboo on the Eyre Peninsula, Susie has an affinity with regional areas and a passion for promoting their achievements. And with a background in photography, tourism, viticulture and agriculture, living on the Fleurieu is the perfect fit for Susie.
