Business Victor Harbor is excited to confirm it has established a new partnership with the Restaurant and Catering Industry Association.

Part of Business Victor Harbor’s Strategic Plan is to increase the profile of the brand by forming valuable partnerships with other Chambers to help provide even more resources to members and to increase awareness and its profile as the leading Fleurieu Chamber.

Under the agreement, hospitality businesses irrelevant of size, who are current Business Victor Harbor members will be entitled to join Restaurant and Catering Industry Association at a significantly reduced rate.

Chairman Business Victor Harbor Michael Schubert said “This exciting partnership will lead the way for other Chambers to get onboard as partners to help grow businesses within their relevant sectors. Business Victor Harbor is currently working with other Industry Chambers to achieve that”.

Restaurant and Catering Industry Association CEO, Wes Lambert said “This partnership is a symbol of our commitment to work closely with business chambers to help support hospitality venues across South Australia. This is especially important after the past two years we have experienced with the COVID-19 pandemic.”

“Along with Business Victor Harbor, R&CA will continue to advocate for small business to help create a thriving and sustainable business community in Victor Harbor and we look forward to the amazing outcomes this partnership will provide.”

About Restaurant & Catering Industry Association

Restaurant & Catering Australia (R&CA) is the peak industry body representing over 47,000 cafes, restaurants and catering businesses across Australia. The members of R&CA are owners and operators of restaurants, cafes, coffee shops, catering companies, takeaway businesses, and function centres.

R&CA was established in 1922 by café operators as a way of sharing information, saving money and talking to government. R&CA also celebrates the achievements of operators through its Awards for Excellence program.

R&CA’s strategic focus is to ensure owners and operators within the hospitality industry remain profitable and sustainable. R&CA also aims to support the continuous improvement of industry standards and professionalism in the sector.

R&CA achieves this through:

Providing advice and support to business owners on how to run their business successfully;
Access to timely information on industry trends, benchmarks and regulation changes affecting hospitality businesses;
Specialist advice on workplace relations, employment law and immigration;
Access to supplier deals and discounts to reduce costs; and
Engagement with federal, state and local councils on policies affecting the sector including tax, liquor licensing, immigration and fees and charges.
