Franz Knoll, a highly experienced and renowned figure in the food industry, will be gracing the stage as a guest speaker at the highly anticipated Business Victor Harbor event, themed “Circular Economy“.

With an exceptional 50 years of expertise in the food industry and business management, and as the Owner of Barossa Fine Foods, Angelakis Bros. and Standom Smallgoods, he has garnered an impressive amount of recognition through the years, including being awarded the Telstra Business Awards 2016, Bickford’s Food Industry leaders Award 2012, and over 1000 product awards.

With his extensive knowledge of the industry, he is actively collaborating with key players by Chairing several business boards including the Northern Economic Leaders, National Smallgoods Council, MINTRAC, and a board member of AMIC, bringing his expertise to the forefront of the industry. Throughout his tenure in the food industry, and his previous appointment as City of Adelaide Councillor, he has gained a deeper understanding of the circular economy – an economic system aimed at minimising waste and making the most out of resources.

Franz’s primary focus lies in conducting ground-breaking research and development, identifying competitive advantages, and implementing innovative technological advances to create defensible strategic capabilities for companies. His leadership has propelled Barossa Fine Foods into a well-established and highly respected company with an impressive $65 million annual turnover and 322 employees.

With his deep-seated passion for the industry, Franz is eagerly looking forward to sharing his wealth of knowledge and experience as part of Business Victor Harbor’s Greater Fleurieu Region Circular Economy Working Group.
